This page lists locations using the names from the current English edition of RyonaRPG. Links are included even when a location article has not been written yet, so the index can grow without being reorganized.
Contents
World maps and travel
RyonaRPG has four world-map screens: the Central Continent, Eastern Continent, Sky Map, and Demon Realm. Most destinations appear after a character gives you information, a request advances, or a related dungeon is cleared. A marker can also change permanently as its story progresses; these states are documented together below.
The difficulty symbols shown by the game are estimates, not strict requirements:
- ☆ — roughly half a difficulty step
- ★ — one full difficulty step
- ??? — deliberately unknown or unusual danger
With an Air Ticket, hold Shift on the Central or Eastern Continent map to travel to the Sky Map. Hold Shift on the Sky Map to choose the Central or Eastern Continent. The Demon Realm is reached by clearing The Astral.
In Debug Mode, the feather on the Central Continent reveals normal world-map destinations. It asks which state to use for locations whose marker changes during play, and separately offers the postgame Ancient Stele. The Ancient Library already has its own marker on the Eastern Continent, so the feather does not need to create one.

| Tower of the Sky | ★★☆ | At level 20 or higher, speak to Shuten-doji in the RAYON tavern. |
| Secret Lab | — | Read the request at the far end of Villains' Valley. |
| Flyer Location | — | A special destination revealed by its flyer. Debug Mode also exposes the marker. |
| Gate to Another World | — | At the far end of the RAYON back alleys, insert eight Gate Crystals to open the route. |
Other Central Continent areas
These places are reached from another location rather than selected directly on the world map.
- Beginner Hall — RAYON's introductory facility.
- Back Alley — the back streets of RAYON, with shops, events, and routes into the sewers.
- Life Sciences Research Institute — an underground laboratory connected to RAYON's park and several transformation routes.
- Roland Underground Prison — after meeting the martial artist on the Lemuria castle walls and then the pirate in the RAYON tavern, use the grave in the RAYON graveyard.
- Gestahl Sorcery Ruins — an FFVI-inspired ruin involved in later progression.
- RAYON Sewers — connects to several hidden areas, including the route toward Back-Alley Swamp.
- Back-Alley Swamp — a hidden area reached through the RAYON sewers during Dilness's rescue route.
- Bounty-Hunter Prison — a scripted prison area used by its related capture and ending events.
- The Astral — reached through the Gate to Another World rather than its own world-map marker. Recommended level is about 36. It has underwater and zero-oxygen hazards; a Bubble Garment is recommended. Clearing it opens the Demon Realm.
Eastern Continent
The Eastern Continent becomes accessible through normal progression and the world-map travel system.
| Location | Danger | How it appears / notes |
|---|---|---|
| Border Sacred Peak | — | Border route shared with the Central Continent. |
| Hidden, the Lurking Town | — | Major Eastern Continent settlement. |
| Mullonde Necromancy Hall | ★★★★ | At night, speak to the purple-haired woman in the Hidden tavern. |
| Girls' Hall | ★★ | Eastern Continent dungeon. At night, speak to the demon sitting on a table in the RAYON tavern to reveal it. |
| Schwarz Maiden | — | City containing a tavern, casino, and other services. |
| Lionel Ideology Church / Goug Organization Base | — | Route-dependent destinations selected through the same marker. |
| Man-Eating Soul Cave | ★★ | Speak to the purple-bandanna man in the Hidden tavern. |
| Emilis Lake | — | Includes an observation deck. A later conversation there reveals Ancient Civilization Weir Tower. |
| Suburban Treasury | ★ | Pay the man by the slot machines in the Schwarz Maiden casino 1,000 G. |
| Dokuno Falls / Dokuno Marsh | ★★ | Learn of the area from the head nurse in Hidden's underground ward. |
| Traveling Bandits' Forest / Demon Forest | ★★ / ★★★ | Two progression states of one marker. After Suburban Treasury and Man-Eating Soul Cave, speak to the purple-bandanna man in the Abaroso tavern. Later events transform the forest. |
| Ancient Library | ★★ | Its marker appears on the Eastern Continent map independently of the debug feather. |
| Pyramid | ★★★☆ | After defeating ten bosses, speak to the man in the Hidden tavern. |
| Underground Labyrinth | ★★★ | Large underground dungeon. |
| Felis's Estate / Immigrant Town | — | This marker first appears as ???, becomes Felis's Estate, then becomes Immigrant Town. See the route below. |
| Dragon Duel Cave | ★★★★ | The destination exists and can be exposed by Debug Mode. Its normal unlock route has not yet been verified. |
| Ayakashi Mountain Path | ★★★ | At level 25 or higher, speak to the tanuki in the Hidden tavern. |
| Lomei Labyrinth | ★★★ | Buy a drink for the adventurer in the Schwarz Maiden tavern; he marks the ruins. |
| Ancient Civilization Weir Tower | ★☆ | Revealed by a later conversation with the traveler at the Emilis Lake observation deck. |
Felis's Estate and Immigrant Town
This is one location with three visible states, not three separate world-map markers:
- Read the luminous archive to reveal a ??? marker.
- Obtain Mapis Light in Felis's house and agree not to tell Luminous. The marker becomes Felis's Estate. Mapis Light can also be created with Creation level 3 for 3,000 EXP.
- Rescue Styrai and Dilness, then return to Felis. The marker becomes Immigrant Town.
To rescue Styrai, obtain the Radiant Angel's Brush from the Mage's Hideout, use it on the painting in the Forgotten Mansion's Great Hall, then visit the West Infirmary. To rescue Dilness, obtain the Otherworld Key from the Ancient Library's Book Room, use it at Library Layer 3 / Mirror Room 1, then continue to Back-Alley Swamp through the RAYON sewers.
Sky Map
The Sky Map is reached with an Air Ticket by holding Shift on the Central or Eastern Continent map.
| Location | Danger | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Floating Continent Laputa | — | Floating-continent destination. |
| Battenberg Village | — | Mountain village reached through the Border Sacred Peak route. The English name follows the Dragon Quest V location reference. |
| Snowy Mountain Range | ★★★ | Refining-material destination revealed near Hidden. |
Hold Shift here to return to either the Central or Eastern Continent. Older builds could leave the player stranded because the return selection did not work correctly; the current English edition fixes that navigation while preserving normal unlock requirements.
Demon Realm
Clear The Astral to enter the Demon Realm.
| Location | Danger | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Demon Realm City Ultima | — | Demon Realm hub city. |
| Demon King's Palace | ★★★★★ | Speak to the maid in Demon Realm City Ultima to reveal the palace. |
| Ancient Stele | — | Postgame destination requiring game completion. Debug Mode asks separately before exposing it so players know they are bypassing that requirement. |
