Ruins of Melbel (廃墟メルベル) is a Difficulty ★★☆ dungeon in the Central Continent. It is the initial state of Melbel City. It is unlocked by talking to princess in Lemuria Slave Market inn or by talking to the soldier in Capital Avalon's inn after defeating 2 bosses.

General Info

• Many enemies are soldiers and heavy armor. Morning star, chain, hammer and magic are recommended.

Layout

Buldings

• Most of the buildings contain monsters and NPC's with minimal dialogue
• If character dies in any of these, no special end

Inn

• Game can be saved here
• Fairy can be used to restore HP and MP

Bar

• One of the only maps where all the NPC's are harmless

Well

• Inhabitant explains current situation of the city

Castle

• Contains Demon-boss and minions, but everything may not be as it seems....
• As soon as you enter, the boss will offer you to surrender. Choosing "yes" is instant game over.
• The boss fight involve lots of normal ennemies along with the boss. Full screen attack item, and/or strong charged magic can help cleaning up. Expect fear and bleeding status a lot. The boss awkard movement can make him easy to kill if you stay on a side of the map, luring him into the pillars.

Unlocking Melbel City

To turn the ruins back to Melbel City, you must:

1. Purchase Hypnosis-Counter medicine from the dog in Ray-On Village streets.
2. Defeat boss, then speak to Hypno pokemon
3. After conversation he will be unable to hypnotise you due to the medicine, breaking the spell on the city.
