| + | == How ordinary infestation works == | ||
| + | |||
| + | Most parasite eggs, insects and suspicious objects call one shared infestation routine. It chooses either one of the eight standard parasites or, rarely, one of four living armors. The selected result is then forced into its normal equipment slot. | ||
| + | |||
| + | The attempt can fail when: | ||
| + | |||
| + | * the required slot is already occupied; | ||
| + | * sufficiently cursed equipment occupies or protects the required body site; | ||
| + | * a metal chastity belt blocks the selected parasite; | ||
| + | * rubber-suit protection is active. | ||
| + | |||
| + | Some characters or forms can tame the creature instead. In that case, the selected parasite or living armor is added to the inventory rather than attached. The exact result is still random. | ||
| + | |||
| + | This shared routine does '''not''' produce the Invasive Parasite, Demon-Flower River Slime, Egg of Beast or the other separate systems listed later on this page. | ||
| + | |||
| + | If a parasite is obtained as an inventory item instead, equipping it manually activates the same equipment and periodic-event logic. This can happen when a compatible character tames an infestation result or when an event awards living equipment directly. Check the removal method before equipping one merely to inspect it. | ||

| + | |||
| + | The '''Invasive Parasite''' is a deliberate progressive transformation, not a result of ordinary parasite eggs. | ||
| + | |||
| + | === Starting the infestation === | ||
| + | |||
| + | At night in [[RyonaRPG/Locations/RAYON Village|RAYON Village]], the product tester can offer to attach the Invasive Parasite. If the character cannot accept it because of conflicting equipment or a stronger curse, the test fails. After the initial infestation, the tester can also supply '''Nutrient Tonic?''', the item used to accelerate its growth. | ||
| + | |||
| + | The parasite also appears as special scene equipment in the Drea○ Club waiting-room event, but the RAYON tester is the dependable route for starting the full progression. | ||

Parasites are living pieces of equipment that can attach themselves to the player through traps, enemies and scripted events. Most cannot be unequipped normally. Each one occupies a real equipment slot, changes the wearer's stats and may trigger its own periodic events.
There are several related systems which should not be confused with one another:
- the eight standard parasites;
- four rare living armors produced by the same infestation routine;
- the separate, evolving Invasive Parasite;
- slime, rubber-suit and other living-equipment systems.

Quick survival guide
- Carry a Dewormer before exploring parasite-heavy areas. One is found in the Poison-Insect Labyrinth shelter and another in the Abandoned Factory passage and elevator area.
- Keep equipment slots open only if you are willing to risk an infestation. An ordinary parasite must have a compatible free slot in order to attach.
- Bio-Rubber Suit, Invasive Rubber Suit and Assimilation Rubber Suit protect against the ordinary infestation routine while their protection is active.
- A Dewormer removes standard parasites only. It does not remove the Invasive Parasite, rare parasite armor or slime equipment.
- Save before accepting an unknown living product or deliberately advancing the Invasive Parasite. Its later stages interfere with removal.
How ordinary infestation works
Most parasite eggs, insects and suspicious objects call one shared infestation routine. It chooses either one of the eight standard parasites or, rarely, one of four living armors. The selected result is then forced into its normal equipment slot.
The attempt can fail when:
- the required slot is already occupied;
- sufficiently cursed equipment occupies or protects the required body site;
- a metal chastity belt blocks the selected parasite;
- rubber-suit protection is active.
Some characters or forms can tame the creature instead. In that case, the selected parasite or living armor is added to the inventory rather than attached. The exact result is still random.
This shared routine does not produce the Invasive Parasite, Demon-Flower River Slime, Egg of Beast or the other separate systems listed later on this page.
If a parasite is obtained as an inventory item instead, equipping it manually activates the same equipment and periodic-event logic. This can happen when a compatible character tames an infestation result or when an event awards living equipment directly. Check the removal method before equipping one merely to inspect it.
Where infestation can happen
The table lists every current non-debug location group with a verified parasite attachment event. Individual eggs and enemies are often spread over several rooms within the same location.
| Location | Trigger | Possible result | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poison-Insect Labyrinth | Walk-on insect and egg events throughout the Swarm routes | Standard parasite or rare parasite armor | One of the main sources. A fixed Dewormer bottle is available in the shelter. |
| Gestahl Sorcery Ruins | Eggs and enemy events throughout the ruins | Standard parasite or rare parasite armor | The Arachne area contains the greatest concentration. |
| Demon Castle Gaddem | Trapped objects and chests in the left and right storage areas | Standard parasite or rare parasite armor | These are traps, not ordinary treasure rewards. |
| Suspicious Temple | Suspicious objects and piggy banks in the middle areas | Standard parasite or rare parasite armor | The event text changes with the object, but both use the same resolver. |
| Life Sciences Research Institute | Insect events in the underground entrance branch | Standard parasite or rare parasite armor | Other Institute routes use separate rubber-suit and hidden-infection systems. |
| Norsley Sea of Decay | Enemies and hazards in the passages, flower fields, midpoint, Demon-Flower River and branch areas | Standard/rare random result, or a fixed Slime-Mold Parasite | Slime-Mold Parasite is especially common here. |
| Abandoned Factory | Sewer enemies and B2F hazards | Standard/rare random result, Catheter-Type Parasite or Slime-Mold Parasite | B1F enemies directly apply Slime-Mold Parasite. B2F includes both random and fixed infections. A Dewormer bottle is available in the passage and elevator area. |
| Writhing Cave | Larvae on the A route | Sea Anemone? | This is a fixed infection rather than a random parasite egg. |
| Mountain Cave, Monster-Flower River | Monster-flower enemies and hazards | Catheter-Type Parasite and Cordlike Parasite | These events can attach both fixed parasite types. |
| Suburban Treasury | Insect events on B2F | Standard parasite or rare parasite armor | A smaller source not listed on the old parasite guide. |
| RAYON Village | The little girl's special dialogue while the player is in certain slave or dog-like states | Standard parasite or rare parasite armor | She attaches a random result through the shared routine; the village accessory shop does not sell the parasite set. |
| Mountain Cave, Lamia ending | Ending event | Flesh Rope | The ending directly equips the item. |
Additional scripted scenes can force a specific parasite without using the random routine. These include some transformation or outfit events; the Drea○ Club waiting-room sequence, for example, can use Flesh Rope or the Invasive Parasite as scene equipment. Such scenes are not reliable farming methods.
Standard parasites
All eight standard parasites reduce Attack and Magic by 20. Most also reduce Agility by 20; Catheter-Type Parasite and Slime-Mold Parasite reduce Defense by 20 as well. Their periodic effects come from event code, so the database description alone does not show everything they do.
| ID | Parasite | Slot | Stat changes | Ongoing behavior and fixed sources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0611 | Ciliated Parasite | Armor | ATK -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | Periodically attacks the chest. Its longer sequence can cause lactation and further breast-related changes. |
| 0612 | Tubed Parasite | Accessory | ATK -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | Periodically drains bodily fluids. Its result varies with the wearer's current anatomy and body state. |
| 0613 | Sea Anemone? | Armor | ATK -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | A two-tentacled body parasite with periodic attacks. Writhing Cave larvae apply it directly. |
| 0614 | Cordlike Parasite | Weapon | ATK -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | Replaces the weapon and coils around the body. Monster-Flower River can apply it together with a Catheter-Type Parasite. |
| 0615 | Swarm of Leech Parasites | Head | ATK -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | Periodically attacks sensitive areas. Its extended event chain can cause a permanent body change. |
| 0616 | Flesh Rope | Armor | ATK -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | Wraps and stimulates the body. It is also attached directly by the Lamia ending and some scripted outfit events. |
| 0617 | Catheter-Type Parasite | Accessory | ATK -20, DEF -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | A urethral parasite with periodic stimulation and urination-related effects. It has fixed sources in Monster-Flower River and the Abandoned Factory. |
| 0618 | Slime-Mold Parasite | Head | ATK -20, DEF -20, MAG -20, AGI -20 | An intestinal parasite which can multiply through its periodic sequence. Norsley Sea of Decay and the Abandoned Factory have many fixed infection events. |
The numbers stored as item prices are not proof that a shop sells these parasites. No normal shop in the current game sells items 0611-0619 as a complete set.
Rare parasite armor
The shared infestation routine has a rare branch which force-equips one of these armor-slot results instead of a standard parasite. A Dewormer does not remove them.
| ID | Living armor | ATK | DEF | MAG | AGI | Main elemental resistance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0925 | Parasite Armor De Rol | +20 | +60 | +20 | +100 | Fire |
| 0926 | Parasite Armor Nengal | +20 | +100 | +20 | +60 | Ice |
| 0927 | Parasite Armor Vajra | +60 | +40 | +60 | +40 | Lightning |
| 0928 | Bacterial Armor Rafteria | +20 | +100 | +20 | +100 | Holy |
All four descriptions also list resistance to drain/force, bleeding, capture and instant death. Despite their strong bonuses, they are still living, cursed armor and require a broader removal method such as Demon Stripper or a compatible event.
Invasive Parasite
The Invasive Parasite is a deliberate progressive transformation, not a result of ordinary parasite eggs.
Starting the infestation
At night in RAYON Village, the product tester can offer to attach the Invasive Parasite. If the character cannot accept it because of conflicting equipment or a stronger curse, the test fails. After the initial infestation, the tester can also supply Nutrient Tonic?, the item used to accelerate its growth.
The parasite also appears as special scene equipment in the Drea○ Club waiting-room event, but the RAYON tester is the dependable route for starting the full progression.
= Growth stages
The parasite tracks both growth and invasion progress. As it develops, it fills the remaining equipment slots with new body parts. Later stages add attacks and body changes, then begin overriding the host's decisions.
| Stage | Current equipment added | Slot and stats | Main change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial | Invasive Parasite (0619) | Armor; ATK -64, DEF +64, MAG -64, AGI +64 | Begins the infestation and periodic parasite activity. |
| 1 | Invasive Parasite Hide (0866) | Shield; +128 ATK/DEF/MAG/AGI | Raises attack frequency and begins changing the chest. |
| 2 | Invasive Parasite Abdomen (0883) | Head; ATK +44, DEF +32, MAG +12, AGI +37 | Adds lower-body attacks and further modification. |
| 3 | Invasive Parasite Tentacle (0884) | Weapon; ATK +167 | Adds a weapon tentacle, more frequent attacks and autonomous insemination behavior. |
| 4 | Invasive Parasite Head (0885) | Accessory; ATK +26, DEF +31, MAG +56, AGI +60 | Begins controlling the host's thoughts and preparing the final takeover. |
| 5 | Mature Invasive Parasite (0886) | Armor; ATK +116, DEF +195, MAG +145, AGI +173 | Replaces the initial armor and completes the takeover of the host. |
Nutrient Tonic? advances the growth system; it does not cure the infection. Ordinary rest and parasite events also interact with its development.
= Removing it
- A Dewormer has no effect on any Invasive Parasite stage.
- Demon Stripper has a specific early-removal path for it.
- As invasion progresses, the parasite can make the character discard Demon Stripper instead of using it.
- Once the takeover state is established, the game explicitly blocks ordinary equipment removal.
Use Demon Stripper early if the goal is to escape the route. Do not deliberately feed the parasite and assume it will remain removable later.
Other living equipment and slime systems
These items are related in theme, but they are not members of the eight-item standard parasite pool.
| ID | Item | How it is obtained or applied | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0329 | Egg of Beast | Sold in Lemuria Slave Market and used by related events | A living accessory with periodic effects. It can be removed normally and is not a parasite-egg result. |
| 0717 | Demon-Flower River Slime | Attached by the stray researcher's slime event outside RAYON Village; some reproduction events can also leave it equipped | An accessory with its own slime-coating logic. The Purification Ankh and other slime immunity can prevent attachment. |
| 0718 | Sex-Slave Training Slime | A separate usable item, including a source in Hidden, the Lurking Town | Inserts a slime when the relevant body site is not blocked, applies aphrodisiac effects and starts a multi-day inn sequence. It is not equippable standard parasite gear. |
| 1191 | Modified Egg of Beast | Created through the Sea-Roar Village living-item route | A modified living accessory with its own scripted effects. |
| 1192 | Pink Slime | Created through the Sea-Roar Village living-item route | A living accessory with its own event path. |
| 1384 | Invasive Rubber Suit | Life Sciences Research Institute rubber-suit sequence | Parasitic armor belonging to the rubber-suit system, not the Invasive Parasite progression. |
Demon Insect Egg (0706) is only a material used by inn alchemy. It does not infect the player when used and is not the same object as a parasite-egg trap.
Prevention
Ordinary parasites
The following suits prevent the shared ordinary infestation routine while their protection is active:
- Bio-Rubber Suit;
- Invasive Rubber Suit;
- Assimilation Rubber Suit.
Slot conflicts and some cursed equipment can also make an attempt fail. This is not dependable protection: fixed parasite events and separate living-equipment systems do not all use the same checks.
Slime attachment
Purification Ankh prevents slime coating. It is useful against Demon-Flower River Slime, but it does not provide universal immunity to the eight ordinary parasites or the Invasive Parasite.
Removal and treatment
| Method | Removes | Does not remove / limits | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dewormer (0232) | Any equipped standard parasite from 0611 through 0618; one use checks and removes all supported parasites currently attached | Invasive Parasite stages, rare parasite armor, Demon-Flower River Slime and Sex-Slave Training Slime | Fixed bottles in the Poison-Insect Labyrinth shelter and Abandoned Factory passage/elevator; can also be created through the ordinary support-magic creation menu for 1,500 EXP |
| Demon Stripper (0241) | Most removable cursed equipment, rare parasite armor and an early Invasive Parasite | Late Invasive Parasite and fused takeover states can make the character discard or defeat the item | Found in the Poison-Insect Labyrinth and a small number of other sources |
| Applied Entomology scientist | Standard parasites | Does not document a cure for the mature Invasive Parasite | Life Sciences Research Institute; the scientist offers to remove and buy recognized parasites from the Poison-Insect Labyrinth |
| Abandoned Factory treatment event | Parasites supported by that B2F sequence | Event-specific rather than a portable cure | Abandoned Factory B2F; the result reports how many parasites were removed |
| Sea-Roar Village traveler | Buys several parasite and living-item types from the player | This is a trade dialogue, not a general cure for every stage or system | Sea-Roar Village travelers' building |
If the game says there is no room for a parasite, the attempt failed; there is nothing to remove. If a Dewormer says that nothing happened, none of its eight supported parasite items was equipped.
Hidden Life Sciences infection
The Applied Entomology Lab also contains a hidden infection chain which is separate from equippable parasites. Taking the unusual sample starts a small-organism observation state. Later rest and event stages can lead to death or an Arachne transformation.
A plant in the Plant Physiology Lab cures this hidden infection. The old English page called the condition “Bloody Death Disease,” but the current game does not present that phrase as a formal database name.
Troubleshooting
- A parasite egg did nothing: the needed slot was occupied, rubber-suit protection was active, or another equipment restriction blocked it.
- A Dewormer did nothing: it only handles Ciliated, Tubed, Sea Anemone?, Cordlike, Leech Swarm, Flesh Rope, Catheter-Type and Slime-Mold parasites.
- The parasite came back or changed form: check whether the Invasive Parasite or a separate rubber/slime progression is active. Those are not ordinary one-item infections.
- A parasite's event behaved differently on another character: several periodic sequences branch on anatomy, abilities, pregnancy/body state, equipment and random checks.
- A shop price from an older guide is missing: old tables confused database item values with confirmed shop inventories. Standard parasites are acquired through events, not a normal RAYON parasite shop.
