Curse Level controls whether equipped gear can be removed. It is an equipment-locking rule, not the same as the Curse damage attribute or a status effect.
+
Curse Level determines whether equipped gear can be removed. It is an equipment-locking system, not the Curse damage attribute and not a status effect.

The game checks the equipped item's database ID, the character using it, and sometimes the current event state. This means two copies of similarly named gear may behave differently, and an item that is normally removable may become locked while its event is active.
+
Most players only need to remember this:
 +

 +
* Level 0 gear can be unequipped normally.
 +
* Level 1 gear can usually be removed by a church Sister or a Demon Stripper. Parasites use their own removal flow.
 +
* Level 2 gear is locked by an event. Follow that item's specific release method.

How the system works
 +

 +
When the game needs to know whether an item can be removed, it sends the equipped item's database curse check. That routine returns Level 0, 1 or 2.
 +

 +
The result can also depend on:
 +

 +
* the current character;
 +
* the stage of a transformation or parasite event;
 +
* whether linked equipment is active;
 +
* whether an item's lock or keyhole has been destroyed.
 +

 +
This is why two items with the same visible name can have different removal rules. It is also why an item may begin at Level 1 and later become Level 2.

Curse Level is only the general removal gate. Parasite evolution, transformations and scripted scenes can impose additional checks. If a Level 1 item refuses ordinary removal, first finish or reverse the event that is maintaining it.
+
If an unrelated scene overwrites or removes Level 2 gear, treat that as a bug rather than an intended way to escape the curse.

Ask a Sister at a church to remove cursed equipment, or use a Demon Stripper. These methods handle ordinary Level 1 curses but do not override every parasite, transformation or character-specific event.

Level 2
+
Character-specific rules
Level 2 equipment must be handled individually. The most important cases are listed under Level 2 and changing-level equipment. Do not discard a save merely because the church refuses an item: this is usually the intended clue that its source event must be resolved.

Curse talismans
+
The vague label “conditional character curse” hides three precise rules.
The Forced Nudity Talisman and Money-Draining Talisman are removed with a Curse Talisman Doll, sold by the stolen-goods merchant. Removing the Forced Nudity Talisman can advance it into the Money-Draining Talisman, which must then be removed separately.

The following items are recognized by the game's curse check as Level 1. “Conditional” means that the curse only applies to a supported character, equipment combination or event state.
+
These are item-by-item exceptions. Curse Maker and Carmilla do not have general immunity to every cursed object.
 +

 +
Registered cursed equipment
 +

 +
“No normal source confirmed” means that the item exists in the database and curse routine, but a current ordinary shop, chest, drop or event grant was not found. It may be unused, unfinished or available only through an obscure route.

Curse Level determines whether equipped gear can be removed. It is an equipment-locking system, not the Curse damage attribute and not a status effect.

Most players only need to remember this:

 • Level 0 gear can be unequipped normally.
 • Level 1 gear can usually be removed by a church Sister or a Demon Stripper. Parasites use their own removal flow.
 • Level 2 gear is locked by an event. Follow that item's specific release method.

How the system works

When the game needs to know whether an item can be removed, it sends the equipped item's database curse check. That routine returns Level 0, 1 or 2.

The result can also depend on:

 • the current character;
 • the stage of a transformation or parasite event;
 • whether linked equipment is active;
 • whether an item's lock or keyhole has been destroyed.

This is why two items with the same visible name can have different removal rules. It is also why an item may begin at Level 1 and later become Level 2.

Level Meaning Normal removal
0 Not registered as cursed by the shared curse check Unequip it normally
1 Mild curse or removable equipment lock A church Sister or Demon Stripper; parasite gear may require a Dewormer instead
2 Strong curse or event-controlled lock Complete the linked event or use the item's dedicated method

If an unrelated scene overwrites or removes Level 2 gear, treat that as a bug rather than an intended way to escape the curse.

Removal methods

Method Where to find it What it does Important limits
Church Sister Churches, including RAYON Village Removes ordinary Level 1 cursed equipment Does not override Level 2 event locks. The Hidden Church's status-healing service cures conditions, not cursed equipment.
Demon Stripper (item 0241) Poison-Insect Labyrinth and a small number of other sources; normally costs 3,000 G Strips most ordinary Level 1 equipment Does not bypass explicit transformation locks, destroyed locks or other Level 2 rules
Dewormer (item 0232) Norsley Sea of Decay, 300 G Removes supported parasite equipment Fully evolved or event-controlled parasites may require their own progression route
Collar Key (item 0225) Buy it from the Sister in RAYON Village Church for 20,000 G Removes the intact Depravity Collar and linked slave chains, then breaks Cannot remove the destroyed-keyhole Depravity Collar or the keyless Torment Collar
Curse Talisman Doll (item 1589) Hidden's stolen-goods merchant, 20,000 G Removes the currently equipped curse talisman in the 1591-1594 family It is returned if no supported talisman is equipped
Cursed Doll (item 1590) Hidden's stolen-goods merchant, 20,000 G Changes the Forced Nudity Talisman into the Money-Draining Talisman Despite its similar name, this is not the removal item; it is returned if the required talisman is absent
Repair Kit (item 1597) RAYON Village weapon shop, 5,000 G Repairs Luari's Broken Prosthetic Arm Character- and event-specific

Character-specific rules

The vague label “conditional character curse” hides three precise rules.

Rule Equipment
Level 1 for everyone except Curse Maker Evil Corset, Iron Maiden, Demon Dress, Sense of Death, Beast Spear and Thorn Collar
Level 1 for everyone except Curse Maker and Carmilla Demon's Claw, Succubus Whip, Vampire Fang, Demon Sword Nihil, Blood Sword, Berserk, Scarlet Robe and Demon's Helm
Level 1 only for Carmilla Emerald Robe

These are item-by-item exceptions. Curse Maker and Carmilla do not have general immunity to every cursed object.

Registered cursed equipment

“No normal source confirmed” means that the item exists in the database and curse routine, but a current ordinary shop, chest, drop or event grant was not found. It may be unused, unfinished or available only through an obscure route.

Event-controlled and Level 2 equipment

ID Equipment How it is applied Exact rule and release method
0808 Depravity Collar, intact keyhole Isolated-Island Colosseum debt/slavery route Level 2. Buy and use the Collar Key from the RAYON church Sister.
0860 Depravity Collar, destroyed keyhole A later collar state in the same route Level 2. The key explicitly fails because the keyhole is broken; no normal removal path is implemented.
0862 Bitch-Training Collar Capital Abaroso home pet-transformation route; also associated with the Back Alley Jail outcome Level 1 normally and Level 2 once the loyalty stage is active. The reversal event at Lady Une's New House handles it.
0863 Bitch Ears & Tail Capital Abaroso home pet-transformation route; also sold in RAYON Village Level 1 normally. It becomes Level 2 when both the bitchification and loyalty stages are active; use the linked reversal event.
0910, 0911 Bitch's Name Tag Bitchification/slave-state events connected with the RAYON mistress and Life Sciences Research Institute Level 1 only while the bitchification stage is active; otherwise Level 0
0957 Broken Prosthetic Arm Forced onto Luari after the death outcome in which both arms are lost Level 2. Use a Repair Kit when the Luari event permits it.
1048 Jade Wise Emperor Forced weapon during Aty's Drawn-Sword Awakening talent Level 2 while the talent is active. Its own routine restores the weapon that was equipped beforehand.
1377, 1378 Lewd-Torture Leather-Strap Suit Escapee Mode equipment variants Level 2. The broken-lock version cannot be removed normally; Escapee Mode controls the equipment state.
1379 Torment Collar Escapee Mode Level 2. It has no keyhole, so the Collar Key refuses it; follow Escapee Mode's event logic.
1394 Assimilation Rubber Suit Life Sciences Research Institute assimilation route Level 2. Reverse it only through the Institute/body-modification event where available.
1398 Biomedical Institute Rubber Mask Life Sciences Research Institute rubber-doll route Level 1 at first, then Level 2 while the rubber-doll stage is active. The Institute event controls reversal.
1591 Forced Nudity Talisman A rare thief routine can force-equip it when no removable equipment is available; a Succubus attack can also apply it Level 2. A Curse Talisman Doll removes it directly. A Cursed Doll changes it into item 1592 instead.
1592 Money-Draining Talisman Created by using a Cursed Doll on item 1591 Level 2. Sleeping while it is equipped removes the player's money. Use a Curse Talisman Doll to remove the talisman.

Similar equipment that is not part of Curse Level

Some equipment is permanent, appearance-changing or event-controlled without being registered by the curse-level routine.

 • Sow Earrings and Wedding Earrings belong to the piercing/event system. Their persistent effects and removal rules do not make them Curse Level 1 or 2; Piercings.

Troubleshooting

 • If ordinary gear will not come off, confirm its exact item ID in Item IDs. Same-named variants may have different rules.
 • If a Level 1 parasite survives a church or Demon Stripper attempt, try the Dewormer or finish its event.
 • If a Level 1 item has changed into Level 2, look for a linked transformation, loyalty, destroyed-lock or rubber-doll stage.
 • If unrelated dialogue or map travel deletes Level 2 gear, keep the save and report the item, character and event. That is likely a bug.
 • Do not assume that revealing, cursed-looking or permanently pierced equipment belongs to this system.
