About Types

Internally, the game uses 3 different main classes for characters - Warrior, Mage and Battlemage aka Hybrid. Characters of other types are unique exceptions. For the most part, these classes are what define starting abilities, stat growth, weapon/equipment limitations and how well the character performs with certain types of weapons.

Displayed character type can be different from the internal character type. This page lists the displayed type first, followed by internal type in parentheses if it differs.

Some characters also possess the rare ability of changing their internal type temporarily with specific equipment. Those are listed in "Special" section under the character.

Warriors

Nakoruru

• From the Samurai Shodown (aka "Samurai Spirits") series

  • While outdoors her attributes increase by 1/3 and both health and mana regeneration are 3%/4% faster.

• Comment: Unlike most warriors, her Magic and Willpower are high but her Health is low. Additionally, her weapon's special attacks are very powerful compared to normal melee attacks.

Riesz

• From Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka "Secret of Mana 2")
• Class: Amazon
• Type: Warrior
• Rank: Beginner
• Skill: Wind's Whisper
  • Starts with high attribute scores.

Liza

• From Romancing SaGa 2
• Class: Imperial Light Infantry
• Type: Warrior

  • Has a 20% chance to block physical attacks.
• Special:
  • When equipped with Mythical Beast's Fur she will become a Mage type character with a mage's attributes, abilities and MP regeneration.
  • Her appearance will change (looks like a harpy) and she may only use claw attacks regardless of her equipped weapon. Class changes to "シー" (sea?).

Chelsea

  • May consume 15 mana to create arrows.
  • When equipped with a bow, Attack Power is increased and Critical Rate is doubled.

Izuna

• Skill: Talisman User
  • Has a 20% chance to dodge all attacks (Only when not attacking; does not stack with shields).
  • Cannot equip Spears, Bows, Shields, and Armor.
  • Adds talisman upgrade to weapons.
  • May use various weapon skills.

Presea

• Class: Tree Keeper
• Type: Warrior
• Rank: Intermediate
• Talent: Exsphere
  • Reduces all damage taken by 1/3.

Iroha

• From Samurai Shodown VI

• Type: Warrior
• Rank: Beginner
• Skill: Maid's Thrift
  • When using potions, ether, and panacea, there is a certain chance of preventing consumption.

Samurai Girl

• From Disgaea
• Class: Samurai
• Type: Warrior
• Rank: Advanced
• Skill: Bushido
  • Very high attack power.
  • Has a very high chance to perform Critical and Multiple Hit attacks.
  • Has a 20% chance to block any attack (Except when attacking; does not stack with shields).
  • Attack power is lowered when using Axes, Small Swords, or Crossbows.
  • Is unable to equip most armor.
  • When equipped with Oriental weapons, her Charge Rate, Critical Rate, and Multiple Hit Rate increases.

Aty

• From Summon Night 3
• Class: Tutor
• Type: Warrior
• Rank: Intermediate
• Skill: Awaken Demon Sword
  • For 15 seconds after activation, weapon/magic damage is doubled, defense/magic defense is doubled, and almost all status abnormalities are always nullified.
  • Her karma value rises during activation, and if it exceeds a certain value she will be penalized.
• Skill: Tutor
  • Has a large bust.

Warrior Girl

  • Has a 20% chance of evading attacks while attacking.
  • May generate combo attacks on a single enemy up to six times, with conditions.

  • Starts with lower Defense but movement speed is unaffected by low health.

Katt

  • She cannot equip many powerful melee weapon ,armor and support item (this is probably the effect of the Tech-Impaired ability)

Hexer

  • Charge attacks with weapons can be executed faster.
  • Increases damage dealt to undead. Can also target intangible enemies such as ghosts.
  • Cannot use recovery methods other than defensive magic and consumable items. High MP recovery rate.
  • Resistant to curse, absorption and ice, but weak to other attributes. Susceptible to abnormal statuses.
  • Attack, Magic and MP can grow to very high levels but defense and spirit do not increase. Can't use powerful armors.

  • Unlike mages, she can use most types of weapons except the most powerful one but cannot equip Armor and Heavy Shields. Can learn all magic spells.
  • She has very powerful melee and magic attacks and moves very fast, but her Health and Defense are very low.
