The first area of the Ancient Trial is a "lobby" area, where there are no enemies, and provides healing for your character. It is very useful if your character needs to perform actions that can only be done in "dungeon" areas but you don't want to fight anyone.
In the deepest part of the lobby area, a teleportation device takes you to the actual trial. There are two different layouts (see map for reference), and the trial either requires you to survive until the timer counts down to zero, or requires you to slay X number of souls (random). Note that the souls have heal-draining attacks that ignores your defense, and it is advisable to equip anti-draining equipment or just stay far away and kill them with range attacks.
Once you fulfill the trial requirements, you get teleported to a rest area with two chests. In the southern end of the rest area is a sigil that allows you to save your game if it's not broken (whether it's broken or not is random). The sigil to the north allows you to take another trial or exit to the world map.
Warning: This dungeon is very glitchy. If you run out of time when you hit a trap (ie; spikes), RyonaRPG will crash.
