Basics

Active sex allows you to take a more direct approach in a sex scene, controlling the flow, actions, and ultimately the results.

On the right side of the interface there's a list of the slaver and his partner's stats.

Slaver stats

• Arousal - How close the master is to orgasm
• Energy - How much energy the master has: scene ends when it goes below 0
• Interest - How interested the master is in sex: scene ends when it goes below 0
• Cum Buildup - How much cum the master has saved. When this is emptied "Start sex" is no longer available.
• Threshhold - Determines how long the master will be restrained before he will be forced to cum.

Slave's stats

• Stamina - affects the growth of arousal and climax, and partner's diligence
• Arousal level - modifies the climax threshold
• Attention level - affects the growth of skills
• Openness - "affects the complexity and balance during certain actions, on the climax-count threshold and type of orgasm"?
• Climax - current arousal and threshold. When the arousal grows above the threshold, the partner orgasms

some observations
Actions performed here relate directly to the slaver's sexual skills. I.E. Johny is wierd. He has maximum perversion, and nothing else. So trying arouse actions end up turning the girl off, but performing "golden shower" is a major turn-on for even an untrained partner. Other actions are related to your partner's skill level, like Striptease which will will either increase interest or decrease it if used by an untrained slave. Insults/rude remarks cause the slaver's interest to crater (possibly related to dominance stat?)
Forced climax a function of threshold and cum buildup?

The PC orgasms initially when Arousal reaches 100. If you have enough juice and interest to go again, it's possible to exceed 100 the second time around.

Continuous Orgasms

If a slave's arousal is managed carefully, it is possible to make her orgasm every turn for as long as the sex act lasts. This improves her mood considerably; asking her how she feels afterward will produce a response along the lines of "Ohh, it was a great sex! Such a heavenly pleasure... I would like to experience this once again." The general approach is to alternate massage and arousal actions until Attention, Openness, and Arousal are all green. At this point the slave's threshold value is usually below 25, and if she does not orgasm immediately upon starting sex, she typically will shortly after. If successful, a message will indicate that she will climax repeatedly without interruption as long as her excitement is sustained.

A few caveats apply:

Interest

The Slaver's own Interest is the biggest limiting factor: if it drops too low, there won't be enough time to arouse the slave, let alone take advantage of her state. Several factors have a significant impact on Interest:

• Slave Beauty — lower Beauty reduces Interest. Scars and bruises lower Beauty, and so indirectly reduce Interest as well.
• Slave cleanliness — bathing the slave beforehand helps.
• Slave sexual skills, particularly Demonstration skills such as Seduction.
• If the slave has high Demonstration or Dancer skill, letting her perform Striptease or Seduction a few times can increase Interest — though a low skill level may decrease it instead, with some randomness involved.
• Completing the Garsid the Inseminator quest substantially increases Interest, though it does not compensate for having sex with an unattractive or dirty slave.

Reluctant Slaves

Some slaves are noticeably harder to arouse than others. In some cases nothing will move them off red, and the best option is to finish and move on. More often, foreplay actions such as Kissing or "caress me" can move a slave to "interested," after which the encounter can proceed normally.

Sometimes It Still Doesn't Work

Occasionally a slave will orgasm once and her arousal will reset to red, or she may climax again during the encounter without ever reaching continuous orgasm — sometimes with her Openness rapidly dropping back to red as well. This tends to happen more often with highly trained slaves who have learned to set their own needs aside in favor of pleasing their master — commendable in general, but not the desired outcome here. One approach is to let Openness drop to red, stop the sex act, and re-arouse the slave from the start (typically requiring her to kiss or caress the Slaver again). This can overcome her self-control, after which she will orgasm freely. The Slaver's own Interest remains important here, since there is little benefit to building her arousal back up without enough time remaining to act on it. Switching to a less familiar act can also help — a slave who retains control during vaginal sex, for example, may lose it entirely during anal.

Over-Arousing

A slave may sometimes reach her lowest threshold point before her arousal turns green. Continuing past this point makes her less responsive. There is no direct way to tell when she is at her optimum readiness, but if her climax values reach 0/2 it is generally worth starting sex immediately. Alternatively, if the values appear to be rising rather than falling, the optimum point has likely already passed, and it is again best to start.

Negative Threshold

A slave's threshold can occasionally go negative. This is useful, since once sex begins she will orgasm on nearly every turn regardless of the action taken — including from oral sex, from being blindfolded, or simply from watching the Slaver prepare. Some actions, however, may raise her threshold back up. There is no known reliable way to induce this state; if it occurs, it's best to start sex immediately, since further foreplay is likely to raise her values back into positive territory and reduce her responsiveness.

Meta Cheat Sheet

Active sex can be very powerful due to its ability to grant many stat changes and grant experience for many sex skills at once, using only a single star of energy. Generally, these stat changes can only take place once per day, meaning that it is most effective to only do active sex once or twice per day to hit every desirable stat change once.

Certain stat changes are based on the slave's attention during active sex. For these changes, "Total concentration" leads to the highest changes, while "Head in the clouds" leads to the lowest changes. All of these instances use "attention-2", such that having "Total concentration" grants 3 skill experience while having "Head in the clouds" *decreases* skill experience by 1. Actions are the same regardless of intensity, unless they are listed separately: I.E., the 'caress' and 'frottage' actions can grant experience once for each of the different intensity levels, and the blowjob/deepthroat action can grant experience once for intensities 1-3 and again for 4-5, but all other actions only grant experience once even if done multiple times at different intensities.

Easily repeatable actions that grant experience towards prestige-increasing traits

Certain Traits can be acquired by taking certain actions over the course of a slave's training. Of these traits, some increase the slave's "prestige" (a hidden stat in the code), which increases the amount people are willing to bid on the slave at auction. Some active sex actions grant progress towards these traits and are easily repeatable, such that the traits can be acquired significantly easier than otherwise.

• Hot wax: grants progress towards the masochist trait. The masochist trait is gained at 100 masochist actions, which can be done in a day with the bull ring by using the hot wax interaction 100 times.
• Golden shower: grants progress towards the perverted trait and exhibitionist trait. The perverted trait is gained at 150 perverted actions, requiring golden showers over several days. The amount of golden showers possible per instance of active sex decreases the more golden showers are done per day, such that focused training of this trait often requires at least a decade of work, and training loses efficacy after 2 or 3 active sex sessions in a day.
• Enema: grants progress towards the exhibitionist trait. The exhibitionist trait is gained at 75 exhibitionist actions, which can be accomplished with enemas in a day or two with the bull ring.
• Orgasms: 3 experience towards the nymphomaniac trait is gained when a slave has 5 orgasms in a single active sex session. Further orgasms will not grant experience. 200 experience is required for the nymphomaniac trait, so 67 sessions are required to gain the nymphomaniac trait through active sex alone. An experienced player with a late-game slaver and S- or S+ slave may be able to accomplish this with a decade of grinding, but most slaves and slavers will require 2 or 3 decades for this.
