Food
The food that your slaver eats is one of the most important factors in maintaining your Strength. Without proper meals your slaver will lose Strength daily and while there are methods to prevent this decay they aren't viable long term strategies for growing and maintaining high strength levels.
Dinning Out
Eating in the city is generally cheaper than cooking at home but there are some trade-offs to consider. Here's a list of all the available restaurants:
- Quarter of the Outcasts:
- (S+) 8$ Go to a restaurant reward;
- Quarter of the Bull:
- (A+) Free* Rest and relax at the Gentleman's Club;
- Serpentine Quarter:
- (B+) 5$ meals at the Virgin Hip;
- (C-) 3$ meals at the Virgin Hip.
*Note: The cost of eating at the Club is included in the increase in standard of living expenses (membership fees). When adjusting for the amount that the slaver would otherwise spend on home cooked food (cheapest A+ recipe), the cost of the higher standard of living is around 2,6$ to 12,6$ if the slaver only eats at the club.
The player should keep in mind that:
- If you don't live in the quarter that you're eating in or you don't have the Bull Ring you will spend 1/2 energy traveling there (5 energy in a decade);
- While the player will get 1/2 energy from the interaction, go to the restaurant is a 5 merit reward so it's not a reliable way for the slaver to eat S+ meals daily;
- You're technically not eating the cheapest possible meals for most food tiers with the exception of A+ tier;
- You'll have to micromanage your meals.
Cooking
Cooking is one of the most reliable ways to make sure that your slaver gets proper meals on time. While it is generally more expensive than eating, cooking has several benefits that eating out doesn't and this is before factoring in any sort of minmaxing or cost reduction strategies.
The benefits of eating at home include:
- Extra mood from eating quality home cooked meals;
- Leveling Strength if the quality of the food exceeds your Strength level;
- Helping you recover from injuries;
- Cost savings.
Note: The game considers "quality meals", for the purposes of conferring the mood bonus, food which is of the same tier as either your Strength or Personality (whichever is highest).
When the slaver or a slave cooks it isn't possible to decide what they cook. Nonetheless what the character is able to cook is contingent on:
- Their cooking skill;
- Available ingredients;
- Mood.
Note: A character will only cook up to the level of their mood. This is one of the most common reasons for why meals might be of an inferior quality than what would otherwise be expected.

Strategies
Here's a quick overview of some strategies in regards to food. Some can be combined while others cannot.
Strength Leveling
If you eat an home cooked meal that is of a higher quality than your Strength you will get Strength exp from it. For this reason you should always try to have your assistant cook meals one tier above your Strength so that you can level it up faster. Once you get to Strong and S+ meals you'll have to keep in mind the high food costs if you cannot afford them.
Cheapest Meals
By only cooking with mince based dishes the player can get away with saving a significant amount of money while still being able to cook quality food.
On the opposite spectrum of this, if the player has an assistant with A+/S+ Nursing skill then it's possible to nullify the Strength loss from eating food that is 1/2 tiers below your Strength. The downside to this is that you won't get the strength or mood bonus from the cooked food.
Eggs
Eggs are one of the grocery types that you can readily make at home if your assistant has undergone oviparity surgery. The amount of eggs that a slave can lay is a sum of her age, endurance, physique, 3 and a random value between 3 and 6. Your slave will lay one egg every day after a 3 day incubation period, once she runs out of eggs to lay she will have to wait another 3 days before she can lay the next batch. This effectively means that you can make significant savings if your assistant is an egglayer and if you already have an egglayer in your barn then you'll also profit more since any excess amount of eggs that won't fit in your fridge will get sold and hence increase your profits.
For maximum benefit you would want an assistant that has undergone oviparity surgery and is Mature with Enduring and Voluptuous. Then you'll want to look at the recipes and settle on which ingredients you want. This could net you a potential cost saving of 16-19 eggs or 96$-114$.
A more extreme, and perhaps too niche, version of this would be to have a slave that you purposefully keep in your dungeon that is an egglayer and/or making slaves that you're training into egglayers. This could potentially net you a pretty big profit from all the egg overflow into your barn's egg output but it might be too impractical for most players.
Virgin Meat
Since Virgin Meat is only used for cooking S+ meals but it can't be bought normally. The only reliable way to secure so is to either buy slaves or patrol the Border of Fogs.
The maximum amount of virgin meat that you can get out of a single slave is 10 and this can be achieved by buying or finding slaves that are young virgins. Lolis produce half as much meat as other slaves. As for stats you should look out for slaves that are Voluptuous + Enduring or Chubby + Tough since other combinations don't ensure that you will get 10 virgin meat. While it is possible to fatten up slaves this is an expensive and time consuming endeavor so you should seek to capitalize on opportunities rather than creating them.
Getting one or two virgin slaves with ideal stats in a decade is enough to fill up your fridge so it's entirely viable to either hunt or shop around for slaves to use as Virgin Meat.
