Introduction

Much like its predecessor, Artificial Academy, Koikatsu's chat system is the main way to get closer to the girl you are interested with. The player will have 4 chat interactions with a girl (or 5 if the girl is their lover) during each school period. Passive interactions and Girl's initiation are not counted. To start off, it is advised that you use reactive chat.

Passive Interactions

These do not consume chat interactions but do raise Love or H Rating; the amount depends on traits and personality. Spamming the same location can lower the girl's Love and increase anger (up to 100, after which she will end the conversation Angry and break any date scheduled.) However, Passive Interactions are refreshed each time the Player starts a new conversation with the girl.*

Touch/Look Interactions Guide, touching each location will give different dialogue (e.g. touching face will make the girl comment about her lips being touched)

*Note: using the potential game exploit, you can max love points in just one school period by repeatedly starting and leaving conversation without ever using the chat interactions.

Active Interactions

Unlike Passive Interactions, each Active Interaction consumes 1 chat interaction, but they have a higher impact on Love and/or H Rating. These interactions are the main way to progress quickly into Lover status and maintain it.

Start a topic to discuss with the girl. Choosing the wrong topic that didn't match the girl's mood could lower the love rating. Each Personality has a different preference on a Topic. (e.g. Lady personality dislikes perverted topic)

Koi chat button.pngSmall Talk Related to daily life. Light topics that are very easy to get a character to open up and reveal themselves with. With a lover, has a chance to get nicknames for each other. (When already have nicknames, a chance to get nicknames confirmation dialogue)
Koi chat button.pngLove Talk about matters of the heart. The dialogue will vary depending on whether the girl's a lover or not.

Interaction Description
Koi listen button.pngListen The Girl will ask the Player a question that the Player will have to answer. The impact on Love Rating or H Rating depends on the question given and whether she agrees with the answer. Successes have a drastic effect on the character's opinion of you while failures can sometimes lower the love rating or not effect it at all. Most of the questions before attaining Friend status are from the girl's nature (e.g. likes to cook, likes animals etc.)* Body size preference questions appear during the Friend status (which use the girl's sizes, see table below), as well as some additional questions based of the personality. In the Lover status, some interactions only require you to listen.

**Body size is determined by the average of "Waist Width" ('Lower Body' tab) and "Lower Torso Width" ('Upper Body' tab), rounded down. The skin type "Chubby" has no effect on this.

Interaction Description
Koi romance button.pngConfess Tells a character that you love her. Lover relationship will establish if accepted.
Koi romance button.pngBreak up Break up lover relationship. Results in upsetting the girl.
Koi romance button.pngInvite to date Invite the character on a date next saturday. Be careful, you can only date one person at a time. Not fulfilling others' date will get them upset on the next day. The girl will not be upset if you are doing Story-related date on saturday, and the promised date will be postponed the next week.
Koi romance button.pngInvite to join club Invite the character to join your koikatsu club. One of the main goals in the game.

Koi romance button.pngInvite to Study Invites a character to improve Wisdom score with you in the library. Increases Wisdom by 1-3 unconfirmed*
Koi romance button.pngInvite to Exercise Invites a character to improve Strength score with you. Increases Strength by 1-3 unconfirmed*
Koi romance button.pngWalk home Ask the character to walk home with you after school. Option to invite the girl over for H is available if a lover. For more info, see Events
Koi romance button.pngApologize Apologizes to the character who is currently upset. Other interactions will lower Love Rating.

*Note: rejecting a girl's invitation (e.g. to study, to go on a date etc.) will remove your ability to invite her to do the same for the remainder of the period.

Favorability Rating

Love Rating: From Acquaintance to Friend to Lover. Starts from a value of 0 to 100. Successfully maxing the rating the first time becomes friend, the second will give the chance being confessed on (or you can confess). Losing points completely while being a lover gives the chance for the girl to ask to break up.

Girl with friendly trait will have a big likeability boost when interacted with, the friend to lover increase remains the same (easier to be friends with)

H Rating: Willingness to have H. Starts from a value of 0 to 100. When fully maxed it glows in white pink (after fulfilled the girl's invitation e.g. lunch).

Girl with slutty trait will have a big H boost just by look/touch them with/without Love Rating not being so high.
