Mood

Every character has mood ¹ (気分²). Mood is not Atmosphere (background music) .
Mood is usually shown on facial expressions and body language.
Mood is affected by interaction, experience, events witnessed, Trait, time passed etc.
Mood of Calm Trait is stable; Impulsive unstable.
Mood affects interaction success rate.
Mood affects atmosphere of current Location, which in turn affects interaction success rate.

There are 8 moods¹

Energetic, Happiness 元気²
Embarrassed (Blush⁴) 恥じらい
Jealous, Jealousy 嫉妬 (not to be confused with Jealous Trait)
Angry, Anger 怒り
Sad, Sadness (Depressed) 悲しみ
Relaxed, Tension (Calm) 幸せ
Aroused, Horniness, Horny (Eros) 発情: 3 levels. To reach the last level requires Room / Location clear of other NPCs. ³

LLDH

Four independent axis of statistics, Love, Like, Dislike, and Hate (LLDH), are tracked per character towards every other. Their value change as the game goes on.

Like are probably better understood as FriendZone. ¹³

Effects of LLDH

Main factor that determines type and frequency of interactions initiated towards others, success rate of interactions, and reaction to witnessing events. Including,

NPCs seek to interact with whom they (Love + Like) > (Dislike + Hate). Sometimes hang around PC or peeking through doors if so. ¹⁰
NPCs avoid whom they (Dislike + Hate) > (Love + Like) . ¹⁰
Having nothing but Dislike makes the NPC unwilling to speak to you. ¹¹
NPC running away after sex with PC in Private Room suggests high Love with another NPC ¹²

In AA2QtEdit.exe

Under Play Data tab > ACTION_BACKLOG. There are four X_POINTS and four X_COUNT, where X is LOVE, LIKE, DISLIKE, or HATE.
X_POINTS and X_COUNT works similar to a base-30 numeral system, that is, 30 X_POINTS = 1 X_COUNT
The total of the four X_COUNT caps at 30. The game keeps track of addition history, for each new addition accepted, the oldest is discarded.
Effect is tiered into three levels 0-10, 11-20, and 21-30 X_COUNT , corresponding to Verylittle, Some, and Lots X_STATUS.
Fans often refer to X_COUNT as Love, Like, Dislike, Hate; the last two tiers moderate, max
What exactly fans are referring to as e.g. "love point" depends heavily on context.

PC->NPC

PC->NPC opinion is affected by,

PC->NPC interactions but not NPC's reaction (e.g. failed PC->NPC contact interaction increases PC->NPC Love even if it decreases NPC->PC Love ),
Replies to NPC.

Statuses

Statue location

Status refers to thought bubble shown on the stats screen. PC->NPC thoughts are hidden.

Don't Know indicates LLDH total < 30. First impression (rid of Don't Know) may require > 10 interactions. Often happens even after excessive successful Chat with opposite-sex Homo Orientation NPC when those gain 0 Like (and 0 other LLDH too). The same goes for same-sex Hetero. See Card editor

Each character holds up to 4 statuses towards any other character, but only one is displayed each time opening the stats screen. Open the screen multiple times to see them all.

There are 61 different statuses, some are exclusive to teacher-student relationships, some character Trait. Generally speaking,

White statuses indicate 1. no strong feelings or 2. Dislike.
Greenstatuses indicate Love and ▲success rates of friendly interactions.
Pinkstatuses indicate Love and ▲success rates of romantic/erotic interactions.
Yellow statuses are related to mood.
Orange statuses are teacher-student specific
Bluestatuses indicate Hate and ▼ success rates of all interactions.
Purple statuses are related to Force interaction.
Red statuses indicate conflict with the other character.

Hate But Love	Moderate Love and Hate; Love is greater than Hate; Ending a H scene without satisfying this character's preferences may cause this status
Shameless!	Was caught inside an opposite gender-restricted room by lover (Love did not decrease)
Angel	High Love but not a lover
Lover, For Now	Low Love with a lover
I Want To Break Up	Self-explanatory. Evil characters will get the TOGETHER FOREVER status instead
Mai Waifu	High/Max Love with a lover
Wanna Get Back Together	High Love with a former lover
Lewd Promise	A special status independent of the Love value. Given/made promise to offer sex if good exam grade or club champion obtained. Prevent other status from displaying.
Overflowing Love!	Max Love but not a lover
Let's Get Married	Max Love with a lover
Makes My Heart Throb	This character is in the "Blush" mood
(´・ω・`)	Mix of Love and Dislike. Appears after rejecting this person multiple times or "forgetting" about a date
Really Wanna Fuck	This character is in the "Horny" mood. Seen after Love gain, or witnessing someone having sex, regardless of gender or orientation. ¹⁴
Really Pisses Me Off	This character is in the "Anger" mood
Homeroom Teacher	Similar to "Don't Know"; held towards the teacher
Incompetent Teacher	High Dislike; held towards the teacher
Ideal Teacher	High Like; held towards the teacher
Teacher I've Longed For	Some degree of Love; held towards the teacher
Normal Student	Similar to "Don't Know"; held by by teacher
Problem Student	High Dislike; held by the teacher
Favorite Student	High Like; held by the teacher
Special Student	Some degree of Love; held by the teacher
Forbidden Relationship	H occured but there is no lover relationship; held between teacher and student
Secret Relationship	Held by a teacher and a student in a lover relationship

You Should Die...	An evil character will hold this status toward someone they hate. Despite what it says it will not trigger a murder attempt
Fated Enemies	Appears after a fight if Hate is high
Slut	A special status independent of Hate score; it appears toward characters with H-compatibility with 5 or more others including the one holding the opinion
Piece Of Shit...	Max Hate
I Hate That I...	Moderate Love towards a character who forced them
Gone Too Far...	Moderate Love towards a character they forced
The Lowest Trash...	Moderate Hate towards a character who forced them
What Shall I Do Next	Moderate Hate towards a character they forced
Unforgivable!	Not chosen upon lover competition event or admitted to lover having affairs(sex). All interaction will have 0% success rate until successfully apologizing
Cheater!	Lover only. Witnessed contact interactions (except "Caress") or sex with non-shared lover.

TOGETHER FOREVER	Evil's (ex-)lover murder target. See Free roam

Corrections

LLDH was previously collectively referred to as Favorability, possibly translation of 好感度. This implied single axis stat, and resulted in unfavorable ambiguous content such as "increase favorability".
