FAQ

Q: How do I import HoneyComb(HC) cards into SVS?
A: From the HC directory, go to HoneyCombInstallDir\UserData\chara\female and find the character you want to import. Copy the character card and go to SamabakeScrambleInstallDir\UserData\convert\chara\female and paste the character card here. For males, do the same but instead use the male folder. Once done, launch SVS. The game will convert the cards on load. From there, go to the Character Creator and load the converted card. You will need to make any needed updates to personality and traits, then take a couple of photos before you can use the character in the main game.

Q: Can't install the game - get Data1 or similar errors?
A: Remove all Japanese characters from folder names of the installer. Run the .msi installer to install the game, not setup.exe or other exe files. Install the game to a directory with no Japanese characters in it.
Q: Menu buttons don't work?
A: The game MUST run under Japanese locale or menus will break! Either use the CultureFix plugin (included in HF Patches), use https://github.com/InWILL/Locale_Remulator, or set your system locale to Japanese.
Q: Why are character mouths not moving when speaking?
A: If you have character voice volume set too low in settings, the mouths won't move or they'll move weirdly. Male characters don't have voices so their mouths never move.
Q: Why are some translations replaced by H$?
A: It's most likely an incompatibility of AutoTranslator + new translations with an old hardmod translation. Reinstall the game and use the latest translations available.
Q: There is low static noise when the game is open?
A: Don't use the front headphone jack, connect directly to the audio out in the rear of our PC. Move audio cables away from power and data cables and/or get better shielded audio cables.
Q: "Fatal error in GC - Collecting from unknown thread"?
A: Rarely caused by background threads spawned by plugins, usually during game startup. Restarting the game should work to avoid the issue. Most commonly encountered when using the BepInEx.SplashScreen mod.
