How to use Illusion Wizzard by darkhound to apply mods.

Preparations

Follow the steps below to prepare Illusion Wizzard for use with your game.

IMPORTANT: Be careful to perform each step exactly as described!

  1. Download Illusion Wizzard or later and extract it to a new folder of any name anywhere. We will refer to this folder as <IllusionWizzard> below.
  2. Copy the required game profile to "<IllusionWizzard>\_general\game_profiles". For School Mate 2 this can be downloaded here (SM2.pro).
  3. Copy the latest PPextractor to "<IllusionWizzard>\_general\tools" (yes to overwrite).
  4. Run Illusion_Wizzard.exe from your <IllusionWizzard> folder.
  5. Select the game (e.g. SM2 for School Mate 2) you want to apply mods to and click Start. (this step will create the folders you need)
  6. Exit Illusion Wizzard.
  7. Done! You're now ready to copy some mods to the mods folder and use the Wizzard to apply them!

Applying a mod

Follow the steps below to install a mod.

  1. Download a "wizzard ready" mod.
  2. Make sure that the mod is a 7zip archive (a *.7z file). If it's not, there may be several 7zip files in the archive (may be .rar, .zip) and you have to extract them before the next step.
  3. Copy the 7zip file(s) to "<IllusionWizzard>\<game>\mods" (do not extract it). Example: For School Mate 2 it would be "<IllusionWizzard>\SM2\mods".
  4. Run Illusion_Wizzard.exe from your <IllusionWizzard> folder.
  5. Select the desired game and click Start.
  6. Click your mod in the list and click Apply mod. Example: Select SM2 for School Mate 2.
  7. Wait while Illusion Wizzard is working.
  8. Done. Exit the Wizzard if you're done.
  9. Play the modded game.

Uninstalling a mod

Follow the steps below to uninstall a mod. Note that uninstalling a mod may not always work 100%. If you have problems after uninstalling a mod you should reinstall the game.

  1. Run Illusion_Wizzard.exe from your <IllusionWizzard> folder.
  2. Select your game and click Start.
  3. Select the Installed Mods tab.
  4. Click your mod in the list and click Remove mod.
  5. Wait while Illusion Wizzard is working.
  6. Done.
