Mining

Mining is a feature in Insect Prison, in the form of a mini-game, where Leah may get ores to help produce more advanced items when crafting at the workbench.

In order to start mining, the player must first unlock the Cliff Top region, just after discovering the Passage, and acquire a Pickaxe, which requires some resources to craft at the tools workbench.

In order to craft the Pickaxe, the following is necessary:

• Iron Ore x3 - Found randomly while exploring the Cliff, Cliff Top and when defeating Giant Worms.
• Broken Pickaxe - Found randomly while exploring the Cliff Top.

Mining Veins

When an Ore Vein is interacted with, it will display a grid of 8 x 8 stones (for a total of 64 stones). Each stone, when clicked will, will reveal an ore or nothing.

The player can open as many stones, as there are actions still left in the day. When all actions are depleted during mining, the day will progress to night as normal.

The mini game can be stopped at any time, and at the end, a summary of all acquired ores will be shown with a message per item.

There is also a cell that displays a Broken Pickaxe, this cell will destroy the Pickaxe in use and cancel the rest of the mining, granting all ores mined so far.

Ore Distributions

The ore count is mostly fixed per vein, but each vein has a different ore distribution.

The Rainy Weather affects all vein distributions by removing the empty stones and providing better odds to rarer ores. During rain, the Pickaxe can't break as well.
