AETERNUM/Story
Synopsis
When modern society collapsed in a nuclear waste, the few that survived reorganized themselves in self-sustained city-states. As time went by these cities grew and adapted to the new conditions, trade was flourishing and for a while a new world seemed to grow in the shadow of the Old War. But just as night follows day, so greed and deceit followed and it was not long until these small cities turned to war once again. Set in the year 4092, in the barren and hostile remains of a dying world, 8 cities keep the flame of humankind alive. These cities formed the Aeternum Alliance early in the New War and are the only ones that survived in an organized form. Their power lied within their proximity to one another, their adversity and their definitive resolve against any outsider threat. Now, a new world seems to grow in the shadow of the New War, a world where no one city rules over the other cities and the constant adversity and healthy competition for glory between them brings glory to the whole of Aeternum.
As the ruler of one of the cities, you are tasked with selecting the Palace Court, the ruling class of the city. You are also in control of the cities representants in the Aeternum competitions. You can interact with any of your millions of citizens and they're each unique both in terms of how they look and their personalities and attributes. But most of your interactions will take place around your Court, the select few citizens that you pick to serve they city by your side.
