Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a feature of Insect Prison that allows Leah to incubate insect eggs over time, resulting in birth scenes when progress is sufficient.
This is only possible with the following bug species (as of version 1.45);
Starting Incubation
Before anything else, Leah must NOT be infected with Parasite Worms, as they will eat any eggs inside her.
For most bugs
The player needs any Seduce, Consent or Forced scene during combat. Note that Defeat scenes will force birth eggs during the scene, so these will actually not work for incubation and cancel any ongoing incubation.
The incubation will start the next morning after going to sleep.
If Leah has eggs from several bugs, they will "fight" during the night and only the surviving batch will incubate.
Mosquito
To get the eggs from the Mosquito, the player first requires a naked sleep scene with it at night.
In the following morning, if the player chooses to keep the eggs and there are no other eggs incubating already, the Mosquito eggs will start incubating.
Parasite Worm
To incubate Parasite Worms, the player needs to be infected with them first, unlike all other cases.
Preventing Incubation
The easiest way to prevent incubation of eggs is to be infected with Parasite Worms, as they will eat the eggs and never allow them to progress, unlike all other cases.
Another way to prevent incubation is by consuming an Anti Parasite while eggs are in the womb, before going to sleep. The Anti Parasite will clear eggs that haven't started incubating.
Finally, if the eggs are already incubating, the options are to either be infected with Parasite Worms or take the Antimicrobial, which will cancel the incubation.
Progressing the Incubation
For most bugs, incubation progresses by just walking around the map, or doing things that cost actions.
When the eggs' progress reach 100%, a birth scene will trigger anywhere in the wild.
Parasite Worm
For the case of Parasite Worms, it is slightly different, as they don't progress by simply walking.
Progression happens when other bugs inject eggs inside Leah, and the birth is then triggered when sleeping naked, instead of randomly in the wild.
Pregnancy Status
On Leah's status windows, there are a few specific ones related to the pregnancy:
- Incubating - Which bug eggs are incubating inside Leah.
- Progress - How close to birthing.
- Egg Count - How many eggs are incubating inside Leah.
- Fullness - How much space are the eggs taking inside Leah. This influences the belly size, and depends on all the other 3 stats.
