This is an infobox for a video game on the Hgames Wiki. Its syntax is based on Wikipedia's {{Infobox video game}} template.

This infobox is intended to be a modern replacement the {{GameFacts}} template.

Usage

Syntax

{{Infobox game
| title =
| image =
| caption =
| developer =
| engine =
| platforms =
| release =
| genre =
}}

Parameters

Parameter Description
title The game's name. You could, for example, use the magic word {{PAGENAME}} if the page's name is the same as the game.
image

A representative image for the game. It could be cover art (if the game was released on physical media), a promotional flier/banner, or possibly the game's intro screen.

You should put Image: in front of the name of the image, but don't enclose everything inside of double square brackets. This seems to be a quirk of the {{Infobox}} template that is currently installed on Hgames Wiki.

caption Alternative text for the image: A short descriptive text associated with an image that serves the same purpose and conveys the same essential information as the image.
developer The popular name or names of the game's developers. This could be a single person, a group of people, or company. For individuals, please use whatever name they used for their online identity (e.g., on forums, blogs, their website, etc.). Only use their real name if they explicitly gave permission to use their real name publicly in association with the game. It should go without saying that most people, especially Japanese people, do not want their real names to be attached to an erotic video game.
engine The game's engine. If the engine that was used is unknown, then simply write "Unknown" for this field.
platforms

List the operating system family for which the game was released, i.e., Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. For short platform lists, consider using {{unbulleted list}} ({{ubl}}) to arrange each platform on its own line.

For additional guidance on what to use for this field, please refer to the information for the platforms parameter in the {{Infobox video game}} template documentation on Wikipedia.

released

Add release dates according to and in the same order as the platforms field. For exact release dates, please use ISO 8601 date format (i.e., YYYY-MM-DD); this deviates from Wikipedia, but that is what the original {{GameFacts}} template used, so please continue to use it for consistency. If there are many release dates, enclose them all with the {{Collapsible list}} template followed by |title= with a {{nobold}} template using the earliest release date.

For additional guidance on how to construct a list with multiple release dates, please refer to the information for the released parameter in the {{Infobox video game}} template documentation on Wikipedia.

genre The gameplay genre or genres; i.e., action role–playing game (ARPG), gacha card game, first–person shooter (FPS), third–person shooter (TPS), dating sim, visual novel (VN), etc.
