Every time Nanako or her female party members have vaginal intercourse there is a chance of becoming pregnant. The chance of pregnancy is determined by the [[VH/Menstruation|menstrual cycle]]. While ovulating, pregnancy is assured, but while on their period, pregnancy will not occur. Taking contraceptives or fertility drugs will affect the chance of becoming pregnant and Nanako will occasionally comment on it when being ejaculated in.

Becoming visibly pregnant (usually the state two of belly size) changes reactions of NPCs and dialogue of some events. Being able to produce milk in some cases (this one needs more testing) can also wring out some more comments.

Sometimes you can get a comment from Doctor on being impregnated on purpose and also some comment about the father of a baby.
You can also opt there to abort the baby.
Crossing the square below the fountain in Hot Spring Town or going straight up from the main Capital gate will
trigger childbirth if in [[VH/Labor Pains]].

Nanako's breasts will increase in size and begin to lactate after giving birth. Each time Nanako gives birth, her "breast counter" is increased by five. Each day Nanako wakes up without holding a baby, her "breast counter" will be lowered by one. Upon reaching zero, Nanako's breasts will return to normal.

Having a bunch of children seems to drain Nanako's money, everyday she wakes up. It's still uncertain as to how many kids are needed to trigger this and how much money is deducted per kid. Do note that it is common to accidentally go into debt from this and get the slave market end. To pay debts, see the loan shark behind Nanako's house.

= Gestation Period =
Each species has its own gestation period. As the days go by, the fetus will grow inside Nanako's womb until it is ready to be born. Once born, Nanako will continue to breastfeed and keep the infant with her until it is either abandoned or adopted.

Babies come in three types: Human, Dog, and Monster. Some will live in Nanako's home in Hot Spring Town. Dog and Monster babies, upon birth, can be chosen to look more like humans or monsters. Some monster babies award the Subhuman Mom title.
