The '''Life Science Institute''' (生命科学研究所) is a secret research lab hidden in [[RyonaRPG/奴隷都市シュライク|Slave City Shrike]].

To access the Institute you need to either be kidnapped while a resident of Slave City Shrike (which is more dangerous and places you in a cell), or enter through the main entrance which is a building guarded by a woman located right next to the entry stairs of Shrike. The latter requires a staff ID which can be obtained by either talking to the black market trader in Brainwashed City Melbel and buying the ID off him, or wearing a Rubber Suit, talking to the scientist in Ray-On's Village church, and paying him 8,000 gold. Once inside, examine the only bookshelf with books in the first room to find a hidden stairway underground. Please note that it is closed at night (you can change the day/night cycle via the witch in Slave City Shrike's inn).

== Herb Collection Quest ==
You can start this quest by either talking to the female guard near the entrance or to the scientist in the area to her right. Sleep in the nearby dormitory bed. You will wake up at night and find that the scientist is brainwashing the guard. You will be asked to find four different herbs for which you will be rewarded for each one.
* '''Belladonna''' - You must start the quest first and have already turned in two other herbs. It will then appear in a storage in [[RyonaRPG/忘れられた邸宅|Forgotten Mansion]] (right side?) ([[RyonaRPG/Map_ID|MAP ID]]: 281)
* '''Mandrake''' - Inside [[RyonaRPG/裏通り|Back Streets]] in an area only accessible by using a [[RyonaRPG/Equipment#Chain|Chain Flail]]. Similar to the above, you must start the quest and have found two other herbs.
* '''Plantain Flower''' - There is a 17% chance that a special map containing (nothing/chest/vending machine/Master Sword/Plantain Flower) will appear in [[RyonaRPG/迷宮庭園|Labyrinth Garden]]. The chance to find the Plantain Flower in this map is 20%, so there is a '''17% * 20% = 3.4%''' overall chance to find it in the dungeon. The chances will be higher the deeper inside the maze you are. No prerequisite; you can find it without starting the quest.
* '''Cordyceps''' - Inside [[RyonaRPG/蟲毒の迷宮|Bug Labyrinth]] (MAP 050), as one-time spawn. No prerequisite; you can find it without starting the quest. Also, it can be bought from one of merchants at ''Different Village'' for 50,000 gold but your character needs to be transformed into a monster girl in order to trade.

As such, the order in which you can get the above is '''Plantain Flower → Cordyceps → Belladonna or Mandrake'''.

* '''Experiment Samples Storage Room''' - Characters kidnapped from Slave City Shrike start here. Up the hall and to the left, there is a scientist about to start an experiment. You can offer to take the place of one of the test subjects. For the sister, you can have your breasts expanded to max size. For the brother, if you're a futanari, you can simply have your dick milked. You can redo the experiments by going back to the spot and talking to the scientist again.
* '''Applied Entomology Laboratory''' - There is an open cell at the end which causes a bad end if a slave, and triggers the Bloody Death Disease if the item inside is picked up by a normal character.
* '''Biotechnology Laboratory''' - There is an open cell here which triggers a bad end.

* '''Remodeling Operating Room''' - Accessed via the stairs between the doors to the Biotechnology and Brain Remodeling laboratories. Headed by Doctor Daijobu (ダイジョーブ博士), a red-faced NPC. He will remodel your body which may either increase your stats or (more likely) increase H sensitivities and introduce several H abilities including the Futanari H ability. See [[RyonaRPG/H Events and Endings#Body remodeling|H events - body remodeling]] for details. If you undergo remodeling more than twenty times you will trigger a game over. Dr. Daijobu can also remove slave collars (which counts as five remodeling operations).

== Life Science Institute Basement ==
A vast dungeon beneath the Life Science Institute. The only entrance is the Rubbish Disposal Chute on the first floor; you will fall all the way down to B5F. Once you enter the dungeon the only way to exit is by making your way up to 3F and defeating the boss, your doppelganger.

Beware, the monsters there are pretty powerful and dying will lead to a game over. Learning level 1 support magic that adds elemental effects (Flame saber, Ice Saber, Thunder Saber) is an effective way to increase your chances.

Going through the dungeon is the only way for a slave character registered as a [[RyonaRPG/Locations/Slave City Shrike|Slave City Shrike]] resident to escape the city. You cannot come back afterwards so be sure to get access to [[RyonaRPG/Locations/Brainwashed City Melbel|Brainwashed City Melbel]] and [[RyonaRPG/Locations/Magicians Retreat|Magicians Retreat]] before leaving.

=== Chastity Belt ===
The black metal slimes are invulnerable and if they catch you they will transform into a metal chastity belt that prevents urination and vibrates, increasing EX. You can talk to one of the ghost scientists in one of the small rooms in B5F to remove it (although the character might refuse if she is particularly masochistic).

Alternatively, a remote can be found that can turn the belt on and off, and several belt-related things (remote upgrades, belt removal) can be found in [[RyonaRPG/Locations#Gorg Organization Base (ゴーグ機構基地)|Gorg Organization Base]].

The '''Sacred Mountain Border''' (国境の霊峰) is an unranked difficulty dungeon spanning both the Central and Eastern Continents. '''Chizotto Village''' lies in between two sections of the dungeon. The dungeon may be unlocked by speaking to a pirate with a blue bandanna in '''Ray-On Village''' after defeating at least two bosses.

==General==
*This dungeon has a fair number of traps; protection against Slime and Darkness in particular is recommended.
*There will be a number of fire magic spellcasters and boulder-throwing Ogres. Additionally Zombies and Lesser Demons will mob you in the later part of the dungeon. Bubbly Slimes are present in the later parts and should be destroyed with magic.
*This dungeon is somewhat easier and both much shorter and linear compared to the '''Large Dwarven Tunnels''' dungeon for the purposes of unlocking the '''Eastern Continent''', but there is less in the way of treasure as well.

==Layout==
===Western Side===
The first area after entering the cave will contain a large number of Ogres. Evade their boulders as best you can and make your way to the exit in the west.

In the waterfall map, the chest you see in the northwest is trapped and will knock you back down to the beginning of the area, dealing very heavy damage in the process.

The boss arena initially has a two enemies; the faster moving one is the more dangerous of the two. Upon defeating them step on the switch to trigger the second fight.

The boss that appears rarely moves; if she does she will teleport to the location. She will occasionally cast a trio of ice spells. The main danger is the four red crystals that occupy the four corners of the arena. They cast short range fire spells that are capable of incredible damage and have fixed movement patterns. "Killing" them merely locks them into place. Note that defeating this boss does not count towards the Boss Subjugation counter.
It may be impossible to defeat her if you are not extremely overleveled/overgeared.

Upon defeating her, take the southern exit to reach '''Chizotto Village'''. A white wyvern outside can take you down the mountain if you wish.

===Eastern Side===
Exiting via the eastern exit of the village takes you to the eastern side of the dungeon. Unlike the previous side there are more enemies here and they are very aggressive; in some areas, with their numbers they can easily gang up on you and deal a considerable amount of damage.

In the map with the long stairs leading down, there are two exits to the east and southeast. The eastern exit leads to two chests.

The next map has exits to the south and southeast. The southeastern exit leads to a triad of waterfalls feeding into a lake containing the ''Holy Sword Caliburn''; although it claims you have acquired it the sword does not appear in your inventory. There is nothing past the lake.

The southern exit leads to a long waterfall. Search behind it to find a cave and head northeast. There you will find a chest containing one of the following:
*''Fire Dragon Ring'' (Immune to Fire but weaker against Ice)
*''Water Dragon Ring'' (Immune to Ice but weaker against Lightning)
*''Tree Dragon Ring'' (Immune to Lightning but weaker against Fire)

From there the dungeon becomes linear and you can walk all the way to its end.

The '''Disused Factory''' (廃工場) is an incomplete unranked difficulty dungeon in the Central Continent. It is unlocked by talking to an NPC in '''[[../Ray-On Village/]]''' inn at night. Most enemies here are relatively slow and not very aggressive, although they may be very damaging to low level characters. There are no traps.

== Floor 1 & Basement Floor 1 ==

The initial area is safe and has a save point available in the '''Conference Room''' directly to your right. You will find a V1.0 keycard and battery while reading some old documents in a shelf in the '''Data Room''' opposite from the '''Conference Room'''. To venture deeper into the dungeon it is necessary to upgrade your keycard via computer terminals.
* Use the console in the main corridor and input the password given in the documents.
* Follow the eastern path all the way to the end. You will end up in '''BF1''', a lengthy sewer area. The doors can be unlocked by accessing orange panels to their left.
* Search the closet next to the sparkling shelf (which contains a sewer manual) to obtain a ''Rubber Suit''. Putting on the suit will protect you against intestinal infestation by parasites as you travel through this area.
* Exit to the south. Beware of the larger slimes as they are tougher to kill and can cause loss of virginity. Towards the end there will be a door with a path heading northwards. Take it.
* In the '''Manufacturing Plant's''' first area, there is a '''Manager's Room''' on the far western side with a console. Reading a book on the nearby shelf reveals that there is no password; access the console.
* Leave to the north, head west, and then south. Exit via the doorway to the left. Follow the path to the very end and activate the machine there. '''This will activate a door needed later.'''
* Backtrack to the sewers and take the exit to the west. Follow the path and take the exit via the doors to the north.
* In the '''Administrator's Room''' the skeleton has a note containing the password: '''RYONA'''. A hint may be found in the shelf to the right; the trick is that the individual letters correspond to the individual characters on a Japanese keyboard: '''す, ん, ら, み, ち''' (dialogue choices '''1, 2, 4, 1, 3'''). Pick up the battery to the south.
* The gate north of the southern exit is now unlocked. Enter it to return to the western area outside the '''Manufacturing Plant'''. This time return to the '''Manager's Room''' and use the southern terminal to access the southern exit. This unlocks a shortcut leading back to the initial area on '''1F'''.
* Load the battery into the slot inside the '''Control Room''' to the northwest of the starting area; while you can still use the elevator without doing this it will strand you at your destination as it will be considered unpowered on the other side. Use the console beside it to start up the elevator system.

== Basement Floor 2 ==
This floor is divided into several areas:
* The '''Data Room''' to the left allows you to save, and contains books concerning the Phalanx, the invulnerable super robot guarding this floor.
* The '''Warehouse''' to the right has a hidden area in a nook on its right side. Searching it will reveal a small area inhabited by a maid from '''Ray-On Village'''. She sells Potions, various cures, ''Rubber Suits'', and ''Stripping Spirits''; the latter of which may be useful for removing cursed equipment and parasites.
* The '''Lounge''' and '''Nap Room''' to the south are blocked by rubble. The leftmost toilet is infested and attempting to use it will infest your character.
* The '''Incinerator''' is located to the north in a different map. It is secured by a lock requiring a V4.0 card.
* The card upgrade room is to the far south, within a sewage area.

Attempting to exit the central area to the west or east will trigger the security system and cause the Phalanx robot to deploy. This robot cannot be destroyed, deals very heavy damage, and will relentlessly chase you across the level. If needed you can lock it in a room by luring it inside and using the nearby door console.
* While wearing the ''Rubber Suit'', head east from the general area and south through the sewage. Avoid touching the aquatic plants as they will infest you. Take the southern exit into the room with the card upgrade console.
* Read the note inside, then make your way back to the general area.
* Head all the way west into an area with destroyed holding tubes. The paper with the password is located in the northwestern corner.
* Return to the upgrade console and upgrade the card to V4.0.
* Head to the area in between the general area and the far eastern room; keep north and enter the incinerator chamber via the northern exit.
* Lure the Phalanx into the chamber on the left, lock it in, and then enter the control room to the right and activate the console at the far end to deactivate the Phalanx.

Note that once the Phalanx is deactivated more and newer monsters will infest the level, and the maid will move from the warehouse to the lounge. A slime representing the creator of the dungeon will appear in the warehouse to heal you and thank you for playing the dungeon as the rest of the levels are incomplete.

== Basement Floors 3 & 4 ==
* B3F and B4F are incomplete as of ''revision 861 ({{#dateformat:2013-12-14|mdy}})''. It is unlikely they will ever be completed.
