Roland Underground Prison is a dungeon that revolves mainly around the rescuing of four lost heroes: Time Mage, White Mage, Squire, and Chemist. Note that you cannot save while inside, even with "save everywhere" option turned on.

Walkthrough for V. 111&112

You'll need holy damage weapons/enchantment to deal with many of the enemies here. MANY ether thief traps, prepare trap dodging equipment/skills or alternative methods of restoring mana (such as Mage's staff).

Beware! This quest has inner time limit, and if you take too long heroes will die and you will get no reward! (Time Mage and Squire will be killed and dumped in sewer to wander as zombies, White Mage will be drugged to half-vegetable state and raped, not sure if Chemist has a bad ending too.) Come prepared and finish it in one fell swoop.

  • On the way into the prison proper there will be ripples in the water to the sides of the passageway. These are fish waiting to jump out as you walk by and will instantly kill you if they hit you. Make sure to move quick.
  • Follow the path which dips into some water and then back up again. Take the ladder back up and enter the stairs at the northeast.
  • Follow the path until you reach stairs up.
  • Take the stairs to the East.
  • From here, take the stairs up that are immediately to your east.
  • Go west, skip the first room south, the next one contains the Prison Key on a table at the far west.
  • Go back to the previous floor. Go straight west through cell row, open the jail door at the end and take the stairs down. Hit the switch to the east (this unlocks the sewer shortcuts). Return to previous floor and go back through passage you initially came here by.
  • Backtrack a bit and then go up, to the torture plaza. To the west from it, in small separate chamber, you will find a dead guard in chains. Loot her keys.
  • Take the stairs at north-eastern corner of torture plaza.
  • Kill all enemies on map, then rescue the Time Mage and loot the chest near bed. Freeing her will also grant long-lasting Repulsion-like effect, making this dungeon (almost) deserted.
  • Descend in the water, take passage leading left.
  • You will end in sewer hub. Local passages, from left to right, will lead to:

1 - Cell row, that we passed through when opening sewer gates.

2 - Map with Time Mage, the passage we just came through.

3 - Torture plaza.

4 - Big torture chamber, located between cell block with imprisoned Squire and shortcut to dungeon boss.

5 - just beside captured Chemist.

6 - Passage, that remains populated even under effect of Time Mage's Repulsion. Leads to White Mage.

Also there is long, serpentine way down, leading to the first map of this dungeon.

  • Lets rescue the White Mage first. Climb into sixth passage and walk to the very end, ignoring the fork with the stairs. Collect the Demon Claw blade, Long Spear and Battleaxe along the way. Angelic statues that weep blood tears are just another enemy - blast them down and move on.
  • Use ladder and continue till the end, where you will find a chest and White Mage. Upon freeing she will fully restore your health and mana.
  • Bactrack to the sewer hub. Pop into fifth passage, free Chemist (who will attempt to sell you potions and various stat cures) and return to the hub again.
  • Now go through fourth passage, leave room through upper door and continue going up - you will find cell with the Squire.
  • Party rescued and quest completed, but we still have some unfinished business here. There is a chest a bit east from here. Loot it and return to the hub.
  • Return to cell row (first passage) go a bit down and then west, to the corridor with inscriptions on wall. There will be another chest.
  • Return to hub and use fourth passage again. Now go through door in lower part of the room. Continue west and enter the door.
  • Here you will find a prison door with ladder behind and plain door at north wall. Enter the former and use ladder.
  • Go west and climb the ladder.
  • Use door at the bottom part of the room. Go the only possible way and loot chest at the end.
  • Return back to the room. Now use door at the north wall, directly across the one you just came through.
  • A room with coffins. Go through the door without inscription nearby.
  • In this room loot the chest.
  • Now backtrack to the room where we were choosing between prison and plain doors. Enter the latter. Now go through black door with red eye...
  • Boss battle! Boss itself is a erraticaly moving girl with grayish hair dressed in black. She will never go after you deliberately, but can hurt you badly if you get in her way. There also some other enemies and quite a lot of traps, including the unnamed spike one that deals rather severe damage. After defeating her you can loot the coffin to find a Torturer's Badge and red chest, that will reward you with Phantom Robe. Use emergency exit to return to adventurers camp. Walkthrough

  • On the way into the prison proper there will be ripples in the water to the sides of the passageway. These are fish waiting to jump out as you walk by and will instantly kill you if they hit you. Make sure to move quick.
  • Follow the path which dips into some water and then back up again. Skip the stairs back up and enter the sewer pipe at the north.
  • Follow the path until you reach several more sewer pipes. Take the left most one.
  • From here, take the stairs up to your immediate bottom-right.
  • Then, skip the first room below you and enter the next room below you with 2 tables in it. Make sure to take the Underground Prison Key off of the table.
  • Exit that room the way you came in. From there there will be a series of cells to your left, enter the first one(one all the way to the right) and take the stairs down.
  • In this room, go up and to the left until you find a locked door, you'll need the prison key to open it. Inside you'll find a dead guard, loot her to find the Prison Guard Key.
  • Then take the stairs in the top right corner of the map. In this room there will be the Time Mage. You need to kill all the enemies, and then you can free her.
  • Exit this room to the bottom left through the sewer. After exiting, go back through the second pipe over to the right.
  • Once you enter this room, go straight north through the locked door, and continue to go straight north to find the Squire behind some spider webs.
  • Exit this room via the stairs up in the bottom right corner of the map.
  • In this room you'll find the Chemist on the right-hand side of the map. After rescuing her, exit this map by the stairs up at the upper-right hand side of the map.
  • On this map go up and around to the right hand side and find the locked door. Behind it there will be a ladder down obscured by a spider web. You need to press the action button to use them.
  • Follow the path to the right and down and through the locked doors to find the White Mage.
  • At this point, if you return to the base camp and talk with Mime Cynthia, you will be rewarded with 3 Crystal Shards and also unlock access to the Ghestahl Sorcery Ruins quest.
  • Alternatively you can return to the room from step 3, but take stairs down at the lower left side of the map. From there go inside the central door to find the boss room. The boss itself is a woman with blackish hair dressed in black. After defeating her you can loot the coffin to find a Torturer's Badge which raises attack but lowers spirit(also worth 15000 gold).

There's several treasure chests and such stashed here, but this is just a guide to complete the main objective. Feel free to explore and claim them.
